We are changing our book collection loan rules at the IMI Knowledge Centre. From the 1st of February all print books can be borrowed for an initial period of two weeks with three automatic renewals. This means that a book can be borrowed for up to eight weeks in total as long as it is not required by another borrower.
If another borrower has requested the book however, then you will not be able to renew the item. Instead, please post back to IMI Knowledge Centre, Sandyford, Dublin 16 or return to the Knowledge Centre. Please note that there is also a Book Returns box located outside the Knowledge Centre entrance which is accessible out of hours so you can bring the books back at any time.
This change in the loan period will mean that everyone who needs a book will be able to borrow in time for an assignment due date. We hope that these changes will be beneficial to everyone. If you have any questions about these changes please email knowledge@imi.ie.
