Welcome to our brand new website. The site will introduce a major change to the way, you, our users search for content and aims to make the searching experience a more seamless one.

Background

The most important new function is a single search box connected to all of our Library resources. Think of it like Google - but for all the paid Library content behind our authentication system rather than what is free on the web. The search provides results from all Library content – books, journal articles, eBooks, eAudio books, etc. This means, for example, you can enter anything from your reading list and be one-click away from the PDF you need.

Previously, users needed to search for books in one place, articles in another, and so on. This is a huge improvement because it will simplify and streamline the experience for you.

Now, we need your help!

Naming Competition: €50 One4All Voucher Up for Grabs

It is common for libraries to give this search feature a name so users can easily identify where and what we want them to use. For example, UCC named their instance 'OneSearch'. IT Sligo named their instance 'Eolas', the Irish for ‘information’. Entering a term like ‘leadership’ should help you understand what it can do and help you suggest the winning name.

To be in for a chance to win a €50 One4All Voucher. Please submit as many name suggestions as you like to knowledge@imi.ie with the subject line ‘Naming Competition’.

The deadline is 5pm on Friday 31/5 , so get creative…there is no prize for 2nd place!

Disclaimer: There will be a winner for best suggestion but reserve the right not to use the winning name.
